IHO logo - stacked copyNHBB is delighted to announce that the 2016 International History Olympiad will take place at the University of Hawaii-Manoa in Honolulu from July 17-24! The International History Olympiad is a week-long celebration of history for the top young history students from around the world and their families, featuring numerous competitive and cultural events. Highlights will include lots of great history quiz fun, an overnight stay and closing ceremonies on board the USS Missouri, Hawaiian cultural activities, and a chance to meet friends from around the world. There’s also an optional vacation extension at Waikiki featuring a family history quiz tournament and an all-subject quiz tournament on the beach! All students who were on a team who won a state or regional Bowl, or who as individuals won a state or regional Bee during the 2014-15 or the 2015-16 school year are eligible to attend. Students can also qualify by having finished in the top half at Nationals in either the Bee or the Bowl in 2015 or by doing so in 2016. Students who graduated high school in 2015 but who qualified in the 2014-15 school year are also eligible to attend. Contact director@historybowl.com for further questions. Aloha!
