Congratulations to Richard Montgomery and to Burleigh Manor A for triumphing in the High School and Middle School Divisions respectively at the 2013 Chesapeake Bay Regional History Bowl! Our tournament was held at Centennial High School in Ellicott City, MD on Sunday, March 24, 2013, and featured many exciting matches throughout the day. The two top teams throughout the day, Richard Montgomery and Oakland Mills, met in the High School final, which Richard Montgomery won in impressive fashion after losing their first matchup against Oakland Mills, while Burleigh Manor A overcame a scoreless first quarter in the middle school final to take down their school’s C team.
Thanks to Eric and Sara Seifter from Centennial High School and Anne-Marie Lanz from Burleigh Manor Middle School for hosting the tournament! We hope that the teams who qualified will be able to join us for our High School National Championships on April 26-28 and our Middle School National Championships on May 18 and 19 in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. Sign up soon; registration closes on April 1 for the High School tournament and May 1 for Middle School teams!
