8 teams participated in the 2012 Boise History Bowl on December 15, 2012. Six teams were classified varsity and two were junior varsity, but all played against each other. Four teams qualified by virtue of their preliminary records from the varsity division: Treasure Valley A, the only undefeated team; Boise A and B, combining for 7 wins out of 10 possible; and Bishop Kelly, whose loss to Boise A gave them their national bid.
In the Junior Varsity division, Treasure Valley B and Boise C both finished 2-3 , but Treasure Valley B beat Boise C in the JV final to earn their bid to our national championships on April 27-28 in Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C..
In the Varsity semifinals, Treasure Valley A defeated Boise A 320-90 while Boise B narrowly won 200-190 over Bishop Kelly. Boise B led the final 60-40 after the first quarter, but Treasure Valley used a 90-point second quarter to wrest the lead back, then held it the rest of the way to win the final 250-190.
