The National History Bee and Bowl held its first ever tournament in the Gem State on Saturday, December 10, 2011 with the Central Idaho History Bowl being contested between 6 teams. In the end, Treasure Valley Math and Science A proved they knew their history too by prevailing in the Varsity while Boise B took the JV title in a rematch over TVMS B in the title match.
Congratulations to our winners and thanks to all schools for attending! Thanks to Colin McNamara for directing and making the arrangements at Boise State. We hope to see those teams who qualified at our National Championships in Washington, DC next April 27-29! In the meantime, we’re trying to get another tournament worked out for Northern Idaho – check back for details on that. If held, it would likely be on March 3 in Troy.
