The National History Bee and Bowl is pleased to announce that it will hold the inaugural New York City History Bee and Bowl on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at School of the Future in Manhattan. Update Nov. 19 – Please note that this tournament will NOT be at Hunter College High School, as originally planned! NHBB staff will be actively recruiting in New York City for this tournament in October and November and we thus hope to have a good turnout, especially among new schools. In contrast with nearly every other regional tournament, this tournament will be held on a Sunday to accommodate Jewish schools in the area, though all students and schools are welcome, of course. Registration will begin in mid-September. This tournament will be held on our C set, our most accessible question set in terms of length and difficulty. Thanks for your interest, and we hope to see you and your school at School of the Future in December!
Note: During the lunch break, the United States Geography Olympiad National Qualifying Exam will be offered for any interested students. The cost is $10 and no prior registration is required – simply be at the school at the time listed below. For further information, please see www.geographyolympiad.com or email email@example.com
Note #2: Please note that the schedule as listed below is subject to change, especially if significantly more or fewer teams attend than we anticipate. For now, please consider the schedule up to date, though check back a few days before the tournament for the final schedule. Note that if changes are made, they are far more likely to affect the end time rather than the start time of the tournament.
