The National History Bee and Bowl is looking forward to holding the Upper Hudson History Bee and Bowl for the 2012-2013 school year at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, NY on Saturday, February 2, 2013. This tournament will run on our B set this year; teams looking for additional opportunities to compete might consider our C set tournaments in Ithaca, NY, White Plains, NY or Long Island as well as our A set tournaments in Lexington, MA and Princeton, NJ. Please check this page periodically for updates on the tournament, including a list of registered teams. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Tournament Coordinator.
Additionally, during the lunch break, interested students will have an opportunity to compete in the Regional Qualifying Exam for the United States Geography Challenge. This consists of a 50 question multiple choice test; students who place in the top half at their site, or in the top half overall nationally, can compete in the National Championships of the US Geography Challenge on Friday, April 26 in Arlington, VA, before the National Championships of the National History Bee and Bowl begins. The top four students in the Varsity (i.e. born prior to July 1, 1997) will get a chance to compete at the International Geography Olympiad in Kyoto, Japan next summer.
