The 2013 Western New York History Bowl featured 8 teams, with varsity and junior varsity divisions both won by teams from Victor Central Schools. The junior varsity division ended after three rounds with Victor C going undefeated. On the varsity side, five teams played a single round robin. Iroquois A and Nichols A, the host school, qualified for our national championships on April 27-28 in Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C.. Victor A did as well after going undefeated in the preliminary rounds. With Victor two games clear of the field after the preliminary rounds, they were declared the winners, while The Nichols School won a playoff for the second place plaque over Iroquois A, 240-170.
Many thanks to Russell Combs and The Nichols School for hosting as well as Zach Pace for directing! We hope to see each of the qualified teams in Arlington and Washington this April!
