Congratulations to Arcadia for winning our first ever tournament in Southern California on February 11 at University High School! 8 teams from 7 schools contested the Southern California C Set History Bee and Bowl, and a full 6 ended up qualifying for Nationals; 4 through winning records in the prelims, and an additional 2 through playoff wins. Canyon Crest was the prelim leader, but Arcadia pulled the upset in the final, as did University A and Rancho Bernardo in the Quarterfinals. Thanks to Dwight Wynne for directing and to Alex Jow of University for his efforts at recruiting and advocating for a second Southern California tournament to be added to the schedule. We hope to see all teams next month at Whitney HS on March 3, and those who qualified in Washington for Nationals in April!
