Congratulations to South Burlington, the 2013 Champions of the Vermont History Bowl! Our competition was held on 3/16 at Burlington High School, and featured 7 teams from 4 area schools. Thanks to Ron MacNeil and Burlington High School for hosting the tournament for the second straight year, to Kevin Commo for directing, and to all the coaches and volunteer readers who assured a well-run tournament. South Burlington went 7-0 on the day throughout the prelims and playoffs, but they won two matches over Runner Up Essex A by a combined total of only 30 points, including 210-200 in the final. Essex B as the lone JV team and Burlington B also qualified for Nationals.
We hope that the teams who qualified will consider joining us on April 26-28 for the National Championships in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA! Registration is open only through April 1, so please sign up soon; hope to see you there!
