Washington DC – B Set

Congratulations to Gonzaga College High School for being the champions of the 2012 Washington DC B Set History Bowl! A snowy day kept the field to 6 teams, but the level of competition was both very good and very close. To win the tournament, Gonzaga needed an overtime win in the semifinals against Oakland Mills (who as a 2-man all 10th grade team qualified their school for either a Varsity or JV spot at Nationals), and then a rematch over George C. Marshall, whom they had lost to earlier in the day.
Thanks to School Without Walls for hosting and to Raynell Cooper for directing! We hope all teams will consider coming to our DC A set tournament at St. Anselm’s next month and, for those who qualified, our National Championships in Washington and Northern Virginia in April!
