Fort Collins High School’s Varsity A Team – champions of the Colorado History Bowl on February, 17, 2018 held at their school.

The National History Bee and Bowl’s 8th season is in full swing with dozens of state and regional tournaments being held across the country from now through early April! NHBB thanks the thousands of coaches, parents, volunteers, tournament staff, and of course, participating students for your continued support!
Our 2018 Varsity and Junior Varsity National Championships will then take place on Friday-Sunday, April 27-29 in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC. Full details can be found here. Registration for Nationals (done through the links here) runs through April 7 for the History Bowl and April 14 for all individual events, including the US History Bee, US Geography Olympiad, International Geography Bee, and the National Sports and Entertainment History Bee. As teams sign up for Nationals, they are posted on the Teams Coming to Nationals Page. Madden ranks (which correspond to the projected seeds at Nationals, though these will change frequently as new teams sign up) will be posted beginning in early March.
Likewise, if you are qualified, don’t miss out on the fun in Berlin, Germany this summer with the 3rd International History Olympiad and the inaugural International Geography Bee World Championships taking place! Sign ups have been coming in frequently over the past few months. We’re currently projecting 150-200 students for the Olympiad and 75-100 students for IGB Worlds! The Olympiad prices and IGB prices though are only guaranteed for the first 130 students for the Olympiad and 70 students for IGB Worlds (space will not run out at either, but if we exceed 130 and 70 respectively, we’ll need to get additional accommodations which might cost slightly higher). If you’re interested in coming, sign up today here for the Olympiad and here for IGB Worlds. If you aren’t yet sure if you’re qualified for the Olympiad or IGB Worlds, see the links in this sentence for the criteria. If you’re still wondering if you’re eligible to attend or if you have any other questions, please email
Good luck with all your remaining tournaments this year and we hope to see you at Nationals – and in Berlin!
