(San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – October 2, 2014) The National History Bee and Bowl staff has been busy securing tournament sites and dates around the USA for our fifth year of tournaments, set to begin on October 25. Between then and the end of March, we expect to hold somewhere between 100 and 120 standard high school level tournaments; so tournaments will continue to be scheduled over the coming months. Keep checking the website to see where tournaments are being held, and if you’re in a region where there’s not a green dot listed yet, please email firstname.lastname@example.org if your school might potentially be interested in hosting.
In other news, the draft schedule for the International History Olympiad has now been posted, and a list of all qualified students from the USA will be posted to the website later this month. We’ll be getting in touch with everyone who has qualified in advance of when registration opens (scheduled for November 1). Also from our website team: we’ll be debuting the new version of the NHBB high school website in just a week or two! The dedicated Olympiad site should also be up by early November as well.
Good luck to everyone as the new competition season draws near!
