Presenting Quiz Competitions in History, Science, and Geography for Elementary, Middle & High School Students Across the USA!

We are always looking for readers as our Middle and Elementary programs grow! If you are interested in a fun day of quiz bowl with the next generation of awesome history heroes, geography giants and science stars, please feel free to apply at iacompetitions.com/apply/
Areas we really need readers are Florida, Northern California, Massachusetts, and anyone willing to do tournaments online!
One of the many women mentioned by staff and students alike as a pivotal figure is Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The Notorious RBG, as she was well known as, was the first Jewish woman and the second woman to ever serve as an associate justice on the US Supreme Court. Known as an advocate for gender equality and women's rights, she was a volunteer attorney for the ACLU and worked hard to advocate for women in their field. Working through cancer treatments and a hard shift in the courts, never ended striving to put her work and efforts first, right down to the end of her life, to make the US a place where people could be seen as equal regardless of gender.
Ginsburg is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, not far from where the Varsity and Junior Varsity National Championships will be held at the end of April.

Was looking through this maps facts book (Brilliant Maps for Curious Minds), and this one stood out to me! The second largest nationality living in each European country. Some I expected, like French in Belgium and Sweden in Norway and Finland, but some popped out at me!
What stands out to you? And what flags can you identify on this page? If you are signing up for the Middle and Elementary School National Championships in Orlando, remember that there is a Maps and Flags exam you can sign up for to try and earn more medals!

As most of you know, our founder David Madden is one of Jeopardy's biggest winners.

But did you know a lot of our readers at tournaments, as well as some coaches in the community, are also Jeopardy Alumni?

Starting today, Mr. Madden, as well as some of past players, readers and coaches, are playing in the Jeopardy Invitational series, competing for a spot in a future tournament with more of the best and brightest!

To track their progress, and see when some of your favourite people are playing, visit https://www.jeopardy.com/track/2024/invitational to keep track!

For trivia Tuesday I thought you all might want to see some of the books I have on my shelf for useless and fun trivia!
Dent’s Modern Tribes, an excellent book about the idea of languages amongst social groups and work groups.
Toksvig’s Almanac, great daily trivia book of strong women in history, science and such!
The Englishman who posted Himself and other curious objects. A great read about the quirky things mailed before regulations took hold!
Brilliant Maps for Curious Minds: 100 New Ways to see the world
On this day in history, James Fell. Another almanac. Not as cool as Toksvig, but still neat.
