The National History Bee and Bowl regrets to announce that, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Washington History Bee and Bowl State Championships have been CANCELLED.  This tournament will not be rescheduled.

Please note that it is an IAC policy that if you had registered for an event that gets cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control, you can go ahead and register all teams and students for Nationals who had planned on competing. If you attend any other tournament this year and do not qualify, this policy still applies(hence, you can’t hurt your chances by competing there).
However, exams can still be done with a proctor at one’s school or in one’s community, so students who were to attend Saturday’s tournament must still qualify for the National Political Science Bee, National Science Bee, US History Bee, International Geography Bee / US Geography Championships through the exams if they haven’t yet done so. Please see details on the websites for these events (politicalsciencebee.comnationalsciencebee.comushistorybee.orginternationalgeographybee.comgeographychampionships.com ) to learn how to do this. We can discount the cost to $10 (what would have been the fee on Saturday).
Stay safe!
