With the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, we’re introducing a new NHBB logo too!

International Academic Competitions is delighted to present the ninth year of The National History Bee and Bowl! Last year, we had a record number of 103 state and regional history quiz tournaments for our Varsity and Junior Varsity Divisions, culminating in our annual National Championships in late April in Arlington, VA. This year, we are looking to hold 105-115 regional and state Varsity and JV tournaments around the country, and our 2019 National Championships will be held on April 26-28 once againat the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. Note that IAC is now once again directly overseeing the Middle School and Elementary School Divisions of The National History Bee and Bowl too. Click here for further details on our Middle School and Elementary School history competitions and be sure to encourage younger students you know to take part! As always, students in 8th grade and younger are welcome to compete in the Junior Varsity Division as well as in the Middle School or Elementary School Division too.

Prices at state and regional tournaments this year for History Bowl teams have risen by $5, but we have also raised the buzzer discount by an additional $5 as well, so that now your team can take $10 off for each buzzer you bring to a tournament. This makes investing in a buzzer system make more sense than ever; click here for further details on how to order one. Prices for the Junior Varsity and Varsity History Bee regional and state tournaments are remaining at $15, and the lunchtime exams for the US History Bee and the US Geography Olympiad / International Geography Bee are still $10 each as in past years too.

For further questions on any of our events, please explore this website, the IAC Homepage, or please contact info@iacompetitions.com Best of luck throughout the 2018-2019 competition season!
