Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Congratulations to Lausanne A and Germantown C, the champions in the Varsity and Junior Varsity Divisions respectively for the 2014 West Tennessee History Bowl! Our competition was held on Saturday, November 1 at First Assembly Christian School in Cordova. Many thanks to Ms. Sherrie Hopper and the numerous volunteers from FACS who assisted with hosting the tournament, as well as to all readers and scorekeepers for their help throughout the day. The tournament was characterized by numerous close matches and both finals went down to the wire. Raghav Ranga from Lausanne and Pauline Mireles from Germantown were named the respective Varsity and JV MVPs.

We hope that all area teams will consider joining us for our next area tournament at Dyer County in January, and that teams who qualified for Nationals will join us in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC on April 24-26. Thanks for a great tournament, and we hope you had a great time!
